Gentle Reminder To All Event Organisers & Wedding Planners...

I recently posted these words via my Facebook page below, after experiencing a situation that damaged my ability to make some money at an Event...

"Life sometimes has a funny way of teaching us a lesson at someone elses expense, that is why I never comment or say anything re someone's fall from grace or they have fallen short in the normal high standard expected from someone of a professional standing. Because anyone of us can have a bad day, and sometimes unforeseeable circumstances happen to cause a situation to happen....

However I have great respect for the Man or Women who bounces back or turns a Negative situation into a Positive, or at least they attempt to put a situation right... People will remember what they want to, but in the end, they tried to put things right... Respect is Due"...

I stand by these words, because anyone of us can have a bad day in our business, God knows, with all the equipment we have and staff we have taken to some interesting events, things can go wrong, and they do...

That is why it is so important for Event Organisers, & Wedding Planners, to know or at least to have confidence in whoever you are inviting to compliment your Event. Plus do they have a Backup Plan if things was to go wrong.

Many Photographers are part of a Network, Like The Image Makers Network, or something similar, but some professions seem struggle on their own, it does not need to be like that, That is why Most Photographers will have a few numbers who they can call on, if a situation was to mean they could no longer attend an Event or a Wedding.

A lesson we learnt recently was how important it was to make a Simple Phone Call to make sure all your Sponsors and Suppliers to your Event will be in attendance, as well as, the time they will be arriving.

Not everyone is on the same page as you, and if an unforeseeable circumstance was to happen in their life or business, guess what they will forget about your EVENT, unless they have the mind to have a backup system in place....
